Are you ready to take your dog's training beyond the classroom?
Basics 2 is designed for dogs who have completed Basics 1 and understand their foundational commands in a controlled environment. The next challenge is teaching your dog to listen and respond when real life happens.
Can your dog stay focused while people walk by? Ignore distractions at the park? Walk politely through busy public spaces? Respond to cues with cars, bicycles, children, and other dogs nearby?
This class focuses on building reliable obedience in everyday environments by practicing in multiple real-world locations. You'll continue strengthening all of the skills learned in Basics 1 while increasing distractions and helping your dog generalize those behaviors wherever you go.
Throughout this 8-week course, you'll work toward developing the confidence and reliability needed for everyday life and prepare your dog for our Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Prep Class and evaluation.
Class Details:
Meets once per week for 8 weeks
Classes are held at four different public locations (approximately two weeks at each location)
Locations will be announced after registration
Prerequisite: Completion of Basics 1 or instructor approval.
