Family Pet Training & Basic Obedience

We specialize in positive, force-free training designed to help you and your dog build skills in basic obedience, socialization, and confidence.

Location: 800 N Church St, Suite D, Watertown, WI
(Note: Apple Maps & Waze may misdirect you to Clyman — we are located next to Watertown Bowl North, within the city of Watertown.)

Group Class Information

• Dogs and puppies must be at least 8 weeks old at sign-up, with proof of age and vaccinations required.
• Puppies must wear a flat collar or harness and be on a 4- or 6-foot leash.
• A maximum of 2 people per dog allowed to support spacing and session flow.
• Well-behaved children are welcome to participate. Disruptive behavior may result in being asked to leave class.
• Please bring 100–200 pea-sized treats. We use food rewards extensively during training sessions.
• Potty your dog before entering the building; a poop bag station is provided for your convenience.
• Classes increase in difficulty each week. At-home practice between classes is essential for success.
• A minimum of 2 enrollments is required to run a class. If only one dog is signed up, we will contact you to reschedule for the next available session.

Puppy Pre-School

4-Week Course — $140.00

Classes meet once per week for 4 weeks, same day and time. Each session is 30 minutes long. New courses start monthly.

Who Can Join?

This class is designed for puppies 9 to 12 weeks old at the time of signup. All participants must have received at least one set of puppy vaccinations and been dewormed.

What We Cover

• Week 1: Name recognition/offered attention & Body handling
•Week 2: Come & Novel Item Exploration
• Week 3: Sit & Sound Exposure
• Week 4: Texture Exposure & Graduation
We also discuss potty training, crate training games, managing puppy biting, and proper socialization techniques.

Puppy Basics

6-Week Course — $210.00

Classes meet once per week for 6 weeks on the same day and time. Each session lasts 40 minutes.

Who Can Join?

Open to puppies 3 Months to 12 months old at the time of signup.

All Puppies MUST Have 2 sets of Puppy shots & Rabies Vaccine to Participate.

Week 6 is Graduation and All Puppies that graduate are eligable for AKC Star Puppy Certification!

What We Cover

• Name recognition and offered attention
• Sit
• Lay down
• Come (on leash)
• Touch
• Stay
• Leave it
• Loose Leash Walking
• Swing (Puppy Heel)

We will also answer any questions relating to potty & crate Training, puppy biting, proper body handling, and effective socialization practices.

All puppies must remain leashed during class for safety.

Adult Basics

6-Week Course — $210.00

Classes meet once per week for 6 weeks on the same day and time. Each session lasts 40 minutes.

Who Can Join?

This course is ideal for Adult Dogs over 12 months who need foundational training or need an obedience/manners refresher.

A great choice for newly adopted adult rescue dogs!

• Stay
• Settle
• Leave it

• Heel

We also answer questions relating to common problem behaviors including barking, jumping, counter surfing, and more.

All dogs must Be fully Vaccinated and Up to date on rabies Vaccine to Participate.

Intermediate

6-Week Course — $210.00

Classes meet once per week for 6 weeks on the same day and time.
Each session lasts 40 minutes.

Who Can Join?

This course is Designed for OWners Who want to take their dogs to the next level of training. Any Dog that has graduated our Puppy or Adult Basics Courses; or a similiar Cours with another trainer May join (Subject to trainer discretion).

What We Cover

• Sit (6 variations)
• Lay down / Stay (including 360° stays and stays from 20 ft away)
• Adding distance, distraction, and duration to all cues
• Come when called from 20 ft with other dogs nearby
• Place command
• Drop it
• Calm loose leash walking past dogs and people without pulling

All dogs must have proof of rabies vaccination and a full course of puppy shots to participate.
