What Makes Our Hiking camp Different

Our Adventure Camp program is intentionally designed around small groups, balanced sessions, and professional supervision. We focus on giving dogs meaningful opportunities to explore, build confidence, develop social skills, and enjoy enriching experiences in a safe, structured environment.

Our Approach to Hiking Camp

  • Small Groups: No more than 6 dogs per handler.

  • Structured Social Experiences: Guided interactions that support appropriate social skills and positive experiences.

  • Daily Adventure-Based Enrichment: Outdoor exploration and nature hikes on our private 15 acres of trails, along with other enriching activities.

  • Balanced Group Dynamics: Dogs are thoughtfully matched by temperament, size, energy level, and compatibility.

  • Professional Supervision: Trainer-led oversight with attention to behavior, comfort, and safety.

  • Individualized Awareness: We recognize that every dog has different needs, preferences, and comfort levels.

Our goal isn't simply maximum playtime. It's intentional enrichment that supports social development, emotional balance, confidence, and long-term behavioral well-being.

Hiking Camp —

Give your dog the opportunity to explore, sniff, hike, and enjoy the outdoors with a professionally supervised small group.

  • Staff transportation included for dogs living within 10 miles of our location in Watertown, Wisconsin.

  • Monday–Friday service.

  • Staff pickup and drop-off at your home.

  • Nature hikes and outdoor enrichment on our private 15 acres of trails.

  • Small-group supervision with no more than 6 dogs per handler.

Pickup & Drop-off Schedule

  • Morning Pickup: 10:00-11:00 AM

  • Afternoon Drop-off: 1:00–2:00 PM

Our door-to-door transportation service helps eliminate the need to rearrange your workday around daycare drop-off and pickup hours.

Transportation availability is limited to homes within our 10-mile service area.

Enrollment Process

We take time to ensure each dog is a good fit for our program and that every group can operate safely and comfortably.

1. Optional In-Home Consultation

Schedule an optional consultation with a team member to discuss your dog's temperament, history, needs, and goals. This is an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about our program.

2. Trial Day

Every dog completes a structured trial day before acceptance. We evaluate comfort, behavior, and compatibility with our program.

3. Group Placement & Scheduling

Dogs are thoughtfully matched with compatible groups based on size, temperament, energy level, and individual needs.

4. Enrollment & Attendance

Hiking Camp and Facility Daycamp offer different attendance arrangements. Please contact us to discuss availability, scheduling, and the best option for your dog.

Health & Safety Standards

Your dog's safety and well-being guide our decisions every day.

  • Dogs must be at least 4 months old.

  • Required vaccinations must be current, including rabies.

  • All dogs must complete a trial day before acceptance.

  • Group placement is determined by safety, comfort, and compatibility.

  • Staff monitor group interactions and adjust activities as needed.

We reserve the right to decline or discontinue participation when a dog's needs cannot be safely accommodated within the program.

Daily Communication

We believe you should feel connected to your dog's day, even when you're busy at work.

Each family receives:

  • Pickup and drop-off notifications for Hiking Camp transportation.

  • Daily electronic report cards through Pet Pocketbook.

  • Photos and updates about your dog's activities and experiences.

Our goal is to give you peace of mind while your dog enjoys a meaningful day of adventure, enrichment, and professional care.
