🏅 AKC Canine Good Citizen

$240.00 ~ 6-Week CGC Prep Class & Testing

This structured 6-week course is designed to prepare your dog to pass the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test. The class meets once per week for six consecutive weeks and focuses on the key behaviors required by the American Kennel Club.

✅ Dogs Must Demonstrate the Following Skills Without useing treats or Lures:

  1. Accepting a friendly stranger
  2. Sitting politely for petting
  3. Appearance and grooming
  4. Out for a walk
  5. Walking through a crowd
  6. Sit and down on cue / Staying in place
  7. Coming when called
  8. Reaction to another dog
  9. Reaction to distractions
  10. Supervised separation

Upon successful completion of the test, clients can submit their results directly to the AKC to receive their official CGC certificate or title.

📌 Prerequisites:

Our Trainers Invite Owners to sign up for CGC when their dog is Ready to level up.

Most dogs WILL NOT be ready to enter a CGC Class until they are able to pass Level 1 & 2 Basics with us (approximately 12 weeks of training) or a comparable class/program with another trainer.

Please Understand we dont just sign clients up for this class; if your dog is not ready it would be setting you both up to fail.

Exceptions may be made at our discretion on a case-by-case basis.
