12-Week Curriculum

Each 40-minute weekly session builds on the last, gradually guiding your dog to remain calm and focused in public.

  1. Week 1: Introduction & Safety – harness, markers, attention cues
  2. Week 2: Handler Focus & Engagement – name recognition, touch, pattern games
  3. Week 3: Controlled Trigger Awareness – Look At That (LAT) game
  4. Week 4: Replacement Behaviors – sit/look at me, loose leash walking
  5. Week 5: Moving Around Triggers – parallel walking, “check in” cues
  6. Week 6: Low-Intensity Real World Exposure
  7. Week 7: Increasing Challenge – slightly busier areas, multiple triggers
  8. Week 8: Trigger Passing – calm pass-bys of other dogs/people
  9. Week 9: Patterned Walking – structured walking routines & engagement
  10. Week 10: Public Proofing – moderate distractions in controlled environment
  11. Week 11: Real-Life Situations – simulated public walks
  12. Week 12: Review & Graduation – consolidate skills, maintenance plan
