How It Works

Our open enrollment program allows you and your dog to join at any time and progress through structured levels. Each level builds on the last, ensuring a solid foundation before advancing. Dogs graduate when they meet the criteria for their current level, moving on at their own pace.

Level 1 – Foundations

Skills: Name/Attention, Sit, Lay Down, Come

Goal to Graduate: Responds to name, sits and lays down with a lure, and recalls from 5 feet on leash.

Level 2 – Building Reliability

Skills: Sit/Down/Stand (10 ft & 2 minutes), Touch, Stay, Leave It, Loose Leash Walking

Goal to Graduate: Holds Sit/Down/Stand at distance, short Stays, polite leash manners, and leaves food in hand.

Level 3 – Proofing Skills

Skills: Distance up to 20 ft, Duration up to 5 minutes, Stay (10 ft, 2 minutes), Passing dogs politely, Leave It (objects), Drop It, fading food lures.

Goal to Graduate: Performs cues from 20 ft, holds positions, calmly passes dogs/people, and responds without visible lure.

Level 4 – Reliability & Real-Life Skills

Skills: All prior cues under distraction, loose leash walking within 5 ft of dogs/people, extended Sit/Down/Stay with owner out of sight.

Graduation Requirements: Dog can perform all cues reliably from 20 ft, leash walk calmly near others, and hold stays for 3 minutes with owner out of sight.
